This is the World Championship! This is big time! So, of course, you need to be able to answer the most important question there is: Who do I pick? And of course; Who do I NOT pick? Well, you hold the final choice, but I stuck my head deep in spreadsheets and refused to emerge until I had some educated suggestions to help you win your own World Championship! Choose wisely!
Important Contest Updates:
- Lineups lock 3am PT on 10/15

It’s not Nuguri that has been out-killing every Top Laner at Worlds. Zoom is the one that is averaging a full Kill more per game than any other Top Laner. That ability is also why Zoom is a distant first in Fantasy Points in Wins at the position through Groups (32.3), 5+ points more than any other player. Excelling in a major way in wins is something Zoom is accustomed to, as he led all Worlds Top Laners in this stat through all of Summer. Love the upside.
Bwipo – Fnatic $190,000 (vs Top Esports)
Just please don’t do it. I know it is cool to go super budget on Top and Bwipo has a cool goatee, but just don’t do it.
ShowMaker may get the headlines, but Canyon was the leader of this team in Groups. Not to mention he also led ALL players in Fantasy Points/game in Groups, which makes sense considering he had 34 Kills and only 9 Deaths in the 6 games. I don’t see how you can go wrong with the hottest player on the hottest team.
Clid – Gen.G $240,000 (vs G2 Esports)
On the complete opposite side of the charts is Clid. Despite only losing a single game, Clid is dead last at the position in Points/game and Kills/game.
I know it gets old continuously hearing great things about Caps, but he hasn’t given me any reason to stop hyping him up! He has yet to score less than 34 points in a win, and has put up 92+ points in each of the last 2 contests, despite losing a game in each one. Dude is just a stud.
Chovy – DRX $260,000 (vs DAMWON Gaming)
It hasn’t quite been ‘Chovy 1v9’ as we expected. It is wild that his price is this low, but wake me up when he finally scores 30 points in a game and I’ll raise his price.
Best Bot Laner at Worlds, Highest KP of all Player, highest CKPM team at Worlds and easiest matchup. Everywhere you look, you see a new strong reason to through JackeyLove in your lineup. And I’m not going to try to stop you.
Rekkles – Fnatic $250,000 (vs Top Esports)
Just reread what I wrote about JackeyLove and then ask yourself if you want to pick the guy going against him in-lane.
LvMao’s fantasy stats from Groups are WILD!! As a Support, he averaged 25.8 Fantasy points in Wins. That number is higher than ShowMaker, Rekkles, and 369. And I’ll repeat this just to make the point clear: he did this AS A SUPPORT. He had 2 games of 4+ Kills and 2 games of 17+ Assists. You don’t get this upside in a Support often, and you shouldn’t pass it up.
BeryL – DAMWON Gaming $130,000 (vs DRX)
Even though his team may have the 2nd best chance at going 3-0 this week, BeryL was dead last in average Fantasy Points/Win average and KP in Groups.
DAMWON didn’t just win games, they DAMinated games (like ‘dominated’… get it?). The ultimate goal of your team is to get all Wins. However, DMW’s wins are more valuable than any other team’s wins at Worlds. They averaged 28.2 Points in their Wins, including 3 30+ point games. Meanwhile, all other teams combine to average 24 points in Wins, and there was only 1 non-DMW game to get over 30.
DRX $200,000 (vs DAMWON Gaming)
^^^^ What he said… I don’t want to be on the wrong end of that DAMWON matchup.
