LEC Off-Season Roster Moves For 2021

After an impressive Worlds 2020 run by the “old guard” of the LEC, everyone is waiting to see where the Uma Jan lands on the globe and if Rekkles fans will soon find themselves supporting a new team. As teams scramble to sign players and craft extravagant player announcements, the offseason becomes a mess of “Did you see this?” or “Has this team signed their roster yet?” Well we have you covered with every confirmed roster move of the LEC Offseason 2021. We will witness veteran players not finding a team and the faces of franchises finding themselves on repping new colors.

Nov. 24

Nisqy Joins FNC

Fnatic has signed mid laner Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer to replace Nemesis as their starting mid. This is now the 2nd time we have seen Nisqy make the move back from LCS to the LEC (EnvyUs to Splyce). His role on this team will look quite similar to that of his Cloud 9 role considering he is surrounded by Selfmade and Upset.

Nov. 23

Destiny leaves Astralis

As expected, Mitchell “Destiny” Shaw has officially parted ways with Astralis. He will be heading to the LCS for another round with Xerxe, Guilhoto, and rejoining his former teammate Raes from the OPL.

Nov. 20

Xerxe leaves

Following the suit of his coach, Andrei “Xerxe” Dragomir has joined Guilhoto in the LCS on Immortals. It likely that we see his teammate Destiny reunited with him on IMT as well.

Alphari Leaves Astralis

Barney “Alphari” Morris has officially been signed to Team Liquid in the LCS. For LEC fans this is a worrying trend after seeing both Perkz and Alphari leave to LCS. 

Rekkles to G2

In perhaps the most shocking move of the 2021 Offseason thus far, AD Carry Martin “Rekkles” Larsson has decided to sign with G2 Esports. This marks the end of Rekkles latest stint at Fnatic where he has played since May 2015.

Nov. 19

SK Gaming New Roster

To complete their roster for 2021, SK Gaming has signed several young, promising players. They have signed jungler Kristian “TynX” Østergaard Hansen, mid laner Ersin “Blue” Gören from the TCL, and Jean “Jezu” Massol as for their AD Carry.

Orome leaves MAD

In the Summer Split, MAD Lions had a very impressive run but ultimately fell short at Worlds. Top laner Andrei “Orome” Popa has parted ways with MAD. Currently there is no public information as to where he will land for 2021.

Hylissang Re-Signs

Fnatic has re-signed Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov their starting support. After the departure of Martin “Rekkles” Larsson, Hylissang becomes the longest standing member on the active roster, having first being signed at the end of 2017.

Dreams leaves S04

Support Han “Dreams” Min-kook departs from Schalke 04. After Schalke’s historic resurgence in the back half of Summer Split, only Gilius and Abbedagge will return for the 2021 season.

SK Drops Zazee and Trick

SK Gaming officially release jungler Kim “Trick” Gang-yun and rookie mid laner Dirk “Zazee” Mallner. SK placed 6th in the Summer Playoffs and have decided to rebuild the entire roster around their top laner Janik “Jenax” Bartels.

Nov. 17

Perkz Leaves G2

After his 3rd straight appearance in the Semifinals of the Worlds tournament and numerous domestic titles, Luka “Perkz” Perković has decided to leave G2 Esports. As of Nov. 20th, he has officially signed to Cloud 9 as their mid laner in the LCS.

Astralis Rebuilds

Astralis, previously known as Origen, has rebuilt their entire roster around Erlend “Nukeduck” Våtevik Holm their veteran mid laner. This roster is filled out by WhiteKnight in the top laner, jungler Zanzarah, AD Carry Jeskla, and World’s Finalist/MSI Champion “promisq” as their support.

Finn Leaves RGE

Top laner Finn “Finn” Wiestål leaves Rogue to join Counter Logic Gaming in the LCS.

Nov. 16

Treatz to SK Gaming

Erik “Treatz” Wessén is returning to Europe as the starting support for SK Gaming. Treatz has EU residency but spent several splits in the LCS Academy system and a brief time as the TSM starting support.

LIMIT to S04

Coming off a solid debut in the LEC, Dino “LIMIT” Tot has been signed to Schalke 04 as their support. This move brings up the final question of who S04 will sign as their AD Carry.

BrokenBlade Signs with S04

Schalke 04 sign top laner Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik, who was with TSM in the LCS. He will be reunited with his former teammate Felix “Abbedage” Braun, whom he played with on Royal Bandits in the TCL.

Trymbi Promoted on RGE

Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus is promoted from Rogue’s academy team to their support. 

Odoamne Signs with RGE

Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu, formerly of Schalke 04, signs with Rogue to join as their starting top laner. Odoamne was a crucial part in the turnaround of S04’s rough start to Summer ’20.

Nov. 6

Doss Dropped

Mads “Doss” Schwartz is let go by Misfits Gaming. He split time as their starting support in Summer Split 2020.

Guilhoto leaves Astralis

Head coach André “Guilhoto” Pereira Guilhoto parts ways with Astralis. Shortly after he signed as the Head Coach of Immortals in the LCS.

Nov. 3

Caedrel Retires

After an impressive performance on the casting and analyst desk at Worlds 2020, Marc Robert “Caedrel” Lamont has retired from professional League of Legends. We expect and hope to see him around the LEC as an analyst/caster in 2021.

Misfits Gaming releases Danny “Dan Dan” Le Comte, their top laner.

Oct. 20

Peter Dun parts ways with MAD

Head coach Peter Dun is not re-signed by MAD Lions. Since then he has been signed as the Head Coach of Evil Geniuses in the LCS.

Oct. 1

Destiny dropped

Mitchell “Destiny” Shaw departs from Astralis. He is a support player from OCE, opening him to residency in the LCS if he finds a team.

Play Fantasy LCS
