Let’s get right down to business. Whether you are playing to win the F2P Cup, 1v1 Challenge, or taking on a Squad Battle, we all are after the W. We can even make some money on the way. So let’s take a look and see which players can be the biggest value, and who is most deserving of your Captain Crown.
Huni – TSM $240,000 (vs 100)
Despite being the cheapest Top available, he has the 2nd highest chance to get 3 wins this weekend. Ssumday is a tough matchup, but Huni has been in tougher spots. Also, he will find a way to get the advantage as he has been showing off his wide Champion pool lately.
Closer – 100 Thieves $300,000 (vs TSM)
If 100 Thieves wants to push a positional advantage in this series, it will clearly be through the Jungle. Fresh off of a 10 Kills game, Closer has been at the center of each of 100’s gameplans lately and will be their primary win condition if they pull off the win.
Jensen – Team Liquid $290,000 (vs C9)
The guy who is playing against Perkz? Whaaat? Perkz is amazing, but it doesn’t mean he is immortal. Actually, Perkz died 14 more times than Jensen did during the regular season. TL leaned on Jensen heavily to defeat TSM, and they will have to do it again to beat C9. Oh, by the way, Jensen averaged 40 points per game in the wins over TSM.
Zven – Cloud9 $310,000 (vs TL)
Nobody should be surprised by the idea of Bot Lane being C9’s best opportunity to outplay TL. Zven is a monster, and Tactical has been struggling as of late. C9 was able to absolutely stop FBI/Huhi 2 weeks ago, to the tune of Zven getting 13 Kills while only dying 2 times. Tactical be careful…
CoreJJ – Team Liquid $90,000 (vs C9)
Everything I just said about C9’s Bot Lane advantage is still true, but let’s also remember that TL has a much better chance to win this game than how it appears at first glance. CoreJJ is still the MVP, and if TL can pull the upset (which feels more like a coin-flip) he will be massive profit at $90k, despite his lane not being the primary win condition.
TSM $240,000 (vs 100T)
It has been an odd season so far, but TSM has earned their right to be seen as the favorite to beat 100 this weekend. The public perception and price may display otherwise, but that just means there is more value to be had.
Best Overall Captain: C9 Zven: Ezreal & Senna
Zven could have had any Bot Laners he wanted in his series against 100, and he prioritized these 2 each draft. If Senna was up, he grabbed her, if she was taken, he took Ezreal. Simple as that. Also very simple, we all know his scoring upside.
Risky Captain: 100T Closer: Hecarim & Udyr
This is a unique sort of ‘risk’ for Closer. Normally we are unsure what he is going to pick, whether he will get the Olaf or not. However, this time around we know he wants Hecarim & Udyr (as the 2 have accounted for 5 of his 6 games played in playoffs). The risk comes as to his scoring upside in the series, but if you are betting on 100, this will be the most valuable Captain out there.
